I typed this in response to a comment from ijoe;[link]
This particular shop was owned by a grocer called Bob Cross,he hated the shop owner next door;a butcher by the name of Frank Parker(who's still there).Bob disliked Frank so much that he put in his will that the shop was never to be sold as long as Frank Parker was in buisiness.I think he didn't like the idea of Frank expanding his buisiness by buying up the shop.
Anyway Bob died (I think about five years ago) and the shop has remained derelict ever since.
Franks shop is doing really well,and there is often long queues outside because his shop is too small.
Bobs hate lives on long after his life ended.
