Another sticker,spraypainted then worked over with acrylics and pens.Then stuck up in my local park.
I love putting my work in public spaces,to get a conversation going on a wall,it gets seen by far more people than in a gallery(it also gets seen by people who wouldn't go to a gallery).
It takes the money value(consumerism) out of artwork and it becomes totally interactive(in random unpredictable ways)Most of this one got ripped down after about three days,but there is still some of it there and it still looks interesting.
Why would someone rip it down! That is, unless they wanted it for their living room...which then i wouldn't blame them. You used my favourite complimentry colours too. I am looking forward to more of your work.
hey,thanks for the comment;You should try it,paint something on a bit of old cardboard then leave it in a street (take a photo,so you got a record) then stand back and watch.(an artist called adam neate does hundreds of them every month).Free art! [link]
Cheers,its a mad old steel container in the park its totally covered in scratches and rusty graf,the stickers take well to the metal and it gives them a cool background,I've stuck a few there
